Welcome!

We are an Intentional Living Community dedicated to the Corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy, the seven Catholic Social Teachings, and urban farming in

Wheeling, West Virginia.

You don't have to live in our house to be part of our community!

Come be family with us; we gather in the hospitable love of God (Who is everywhere! <3)

Not many families share the same name or even blood line in today's society for all kind of reasons -marriages, loss, divorce, foster care, adoption, ect.. That is very true here at our East Wheeling house as well! There is no way to have one of those nice plaques saying "The _____ Residence" . We are a hodge podge of what Love has brought together - a Family blended together by God's Grace and Mercy; we are bound together through His Bloodline and held together by what is healthy and truly matters -Love!

Love is our Family Tradition.

~Family Shared Holidays~

Come celebrate with us! Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas are days for us to gather together as God's family in the unity of community. We celebrate these holidays on the actual holiday but watch for more details as we approach each one!

We all live somewhere- it could be in a house, in a shelter or even under a bridge...but HOW do we live? What gives us life and how do we share that with others? We are here for a reason and that reason is Love.

St. Vincent de Paul said:

“Love is inventive, even to infinity,”

Friends, as Christians we are called to be this love wherever we are!

From :

-our Prayers for our neighborhoods,

-to volunteering in a garden,

-helping with a bike share program, -collecting supplies for someone in need,

-honoring the humanity of the homeless by giving them a Home in our heart and a place at the table,

-doing art with someone/ organizing community art projects,

- or doing homework with a child

...these are all ways to show God's Love.

We love learning and being inspired by others too! Share your ideas also! If you would like to learn about, or are interested in participating in our neighborhood activities that we give our hands and hearts to contact us. We are always looking for ways to work together!

“Prayer in action is love, and love in action is service. Try to give unconditionally whatever a person needs in the moment. The point is to do something, however small, and show you care through your actions by giving your time … We are all God’s children so it is important to share His gifts. Do not worry about why problems exist in the world – just respond to people’s needs … We feel what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean, but that ocean would be less without that drop.“

- Mother Teresa
